Euro-Flex™ FSD

Product Information Print

Description
Euro-Flex FSD Type I is a solid vinyl sheet or tile in a fine semi-glossy pattern. This semi-glossy finish does not have the high traction certification of euro-flex™ FSD-HT. (link)

Manufacturing Technology
Euro-Flex FSD is made as a roll or as a tile by a co-extrusion technology which combines 100% solid vinyl chips of various primary colors and shapes to produce unique optics that replicate real stone, gravel, or commercial carpet. The solid vinyl chips are extruded onto a soft plasticized backing layer which aids noise reduction and allows the materials to be flash-coved. The solid vinyl chips in the wear layer of High Traction euro-flex tile provide superior heavy traffic abrasion resistance and result in a semi-glossy smooth surface that is easily cleanable and resists soiling..

Recommended Application
Use Euro-Flex FSD solid vinyl in all heat welded applications that are subject to heavy commercial traffic. Examples are corridors, healthcare, operating rooms, clean-rooms and light manufacturing facilties.

Installation & Maintenance
Installation
Follow detailed manufacturers installation instructions. Use TSC-100 water based acrylic adhesive or full surface application of Sigaway® Original dry double faced textile reinforced adhesive when installing Euro-Flex over concrete, or over existing flooring, such as VAT, VCT, wood, fiberglass, epoxy or metal. Heat welding provides ultimate sanitary and bacteriological control properties, as well as chemical resistance, surface moisture resistance and must be employed whenever smooth, monolithic floors are required to prevent penetration of dust, moisture, bacteria, pathogenic substances or chemicals into seams. (Installations such as hospital O/R's, and laboratories, etc.). Euro-Flex rolls must be heat welded. Welding of Euro-Flex tile may be omitted whenever ordinary, non wet maintenance conditions prevail, and welding is not specified. Liquid welds are not recommended. Make a test patch prior to installation.
Recommended Maintenance
Coarse dirt should be removed by vacuum cleaning or wiping with a soft brush. Either of two maintenance methods is acceptable:

Method A
An initial treatment of 1-2 coats of Taski Under-Cover Sealer, followed by 4 coats of Taski Ombra for low gloss. Localized marks can be treated with a machine or with a wet scouring pad and cleaning spray. Wet clean with Taski R-50; Taski Combi-Gloss, spray buff with Taski Ultra Spray solutions; manual or machine scrubbing may be employed. Mop and Wipe clean methods are suitable. Dirty water can be mopped up and tiles can be left to dry. Mop and Wipe clean methods are suitable. Dry high speed buffing enhances the semi-glossy sheen.

Alternate Method B
Mopping with a diluted 64: 1 to 16:1 (depending upon the degree of soiling) Traction Plus Floor Cleaner No TP 121 (do not allow cleaner to dry on the floor tile), followed by rinsing with clean water. Manual or machine scrubbing may be employed.

NOTE
Do not use vinyl tiles under black rubber wheels, such as in automotive showrooms, as there can be permanent discoloration (browning) due to the antioxidants used in rubber.

Limited Warranty
Products are warranted for ONE YEAR if installed in strict adherence to all factory specifications on approved sub-floors and by trained personnel. No warranty is extended for installation on sub-floors having >2.2% moisture by the carbide method or >3.0 lbs./1000 sft. moisture by the calcium chloride test method or on on-grade or below grade sub-floors where a film moisture barrier is not provided. Products are warranted for FIVE YEARS against non-conformance to technical specifications and deterioration of properties under normal conditions of use. Warranties are limited to repairing, or at sellers option replacing products if notice of defect is given in writing and if TSC's examination shows that the products have failed under the terms and limitations of this warranty. No responsibility for the cost of removal, re-installation, or freight can be assumed under this warranty. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to determine the suitability of the materials and of the sub-floor conditions for the intended use. Color match and marble-ization are subject to commercial tolerances.

Claims for color match or any other visible material defects or damages cannot be accepted after installation.
